Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use a travel planner?
With extensive knowledge, training, and relationships within the industry; a travel agent can save you time, frustration, and money.  Yes, I can save you money.  I have access to vacation providers that the general public does not.  In acquiring the best value for your dollar, I work very hard to ensure I am getting you the best rate available. Even after you have booked your trip; I continue to monitor specials and promotions released by your vacation provider, and will readjust your package rate to include any additional savings and/or amenities offered.  An online booking provider will not provide that service for you.  I will also be available to you throughout the duration of your planning and travel to share everything you need to know before you go, and in the event any issues arise during your travel.

What will it cost me to use your services?
I love this question!  It gives me great joy to say........absolutely nothing!  That always leads to a follow up question; "then how do you get paid?"  I am paid directly by the resort, cruise line, tour supplier, etc. as a thank you for recommending them to my clients.  It is normal to assume that in the end this will cost you more money.  That couldn't be further from the truth.  As I have mentioned, I work very hard to provide you the best rate available, without sacrificing the quality you desire in your vacation.  I want you to feel that I have your best interest in mind.  If you feel I have done that, you are more likely to return for my services, as well as refer your friends. Therefore, it is important to me that you feel my services are worthy.  If you find the same vacation package prior to booking, at a lesser rate, please share that with me.  As long as we are comparing the same details, I can work to price match that rate.

What can you book for me?
I can book any purpose, any destination, and any itinerary you desire.  From a very relaxing vacation, to a destination wedding and/or honeymoon or cruise, domestic or international tour, to an action packed adventure; I can cater to every last detail of your vacation.   If you wish to use frequent flyer miles, I do recommend that you book your own air.

When is the best time to book air fare?
Statistically, the best time to book domestic air is 3 months to 52 days prior to departure.  For international, namely Europe, you want to book 4 to 5 months prior to departure to achieve the best rate.

What is travel insurance and why is it important?
Travel insurance is an optional expense, but provides coverage for the duration of your trip; to include trip delays, cancellations, lost or delayed luggage, medical expenses/emergencies, evacuation, and more.  Why is it important... for all the reasons just stated.  Let's face it, unexpected things can occur no matter where you are, but when you are on vacation and in a territory foreign to you, those events can be very costly.  In some destinations, your medical insurance is not accepted. Therefore, the total expense would come out of your pocket, unless you have purchased travel insurance.  Travel insurance provides protection for you and your travel companions in every situation.  When planning for your trip, insurance options will be provided to you in detail, so that you can make the best decision for you.
